Stepping motor out-of-step detection steps
If you confirm whether the stepper motor of the machine tool is out of step, you can check it as follows.
Let me explain the word out of step first. The general stepping motors are three-phase six-beat and five-phase ten-beat. Have you noticed that the three-phase six-shot controller has three LEDs, and the five-phase ten-shot controller has five LEDs.
Three-phase: The motor has three windings, which means three wires. Six beats: Three LEDs, after cycling twice before returning to the initial state.
Each time the three three-phase LED lights flash, the stepping motor also steps by 0.1 wire, and alternately flashes twice, which is 0.6 wire.
Generally, the loss of step of the motor is due to the lack of one or two phases, which means that one of the lines is broken (as for whether the motor or the controller is broken, it is necessary to check).
At this time, we can let the motor execute in a single step, that is, each step advances with 0.1 wire, and we shake the motor by hand at each step to see if it is in the locked state. If which LED is on and the motor is not in the locked state, there is a problem with which circuit, you can check the connection with this circuit.
Start with the machine tool (that is, the motor). Turn off all power supplies, disassemble the interface between the machine tool and the controller, find these three lines, and then find the 24V power line. Turn the multimeter to the electrical barrier, and measure the three wires one by one with the 24V line. Under normal conditions, there should be a resistance of about 8.5 ohms, and some motor resistances have large and small resistances. In short, if the resistance of which line is not correct with the other. There may be a problem with that line.
If the test results of the motor are all correct, you have to use the same method to test the controller.
If the result of the test is that there is a problem with the motor, follow the line you have detected to test the motor. If you are lucky, if the line is broken, just connect it. If you are not lucky, you have to change the motor.
If it is a problem with the controller, follow the detected line and check it all the way up. You can know.
