Advanced driver assistance system based on TI products—77G millimeter wave radar solution
On August 21, 2018, the distributor of semiconductor components dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region --- General Assembly Holdings announced that its subsidiary World Ping launched an advanced driver assistance system 77G millimeter wave radar solution based on Texas Instruments (TI) products . The solution is based on TI AWR1642's 77GHz radar single-chip module solution, and is mainly used in vehicle-assisted driving: blind spot detection, lane change assistance, parking assistance, simple gesture recognition, automotive door opener applications and other application scenarios.
Millimeter wave Radar: The operating frequency is in the range of 30~300GHz, and the frequency of 24GHz is also classified as millimeter wave Radar. 60~61GHz is only used in Japan. Generally, 24GHz is used for short/medium distance, and 76~79GHz is used for medium/long distance. The higher the frequency and the shorter the wavelength, the higher the accuracy of distance measurement and speed measurement.
Function description
77G Radar single chip solution;
●Realize the following application scenarios: blind spot detection, lane change assistance, parking assistance, simple gesture recognition, car door opener applications;
● Wide voltage input: 12V~36V;
● The processed data is output via CAN.
● Multi-mode and multi-function;
● High performance, durability-resistance to harsh environments and vibration performance;
● The complete radar module includes electronic equipment and measuring devices;
The design is compact and easy to integrate into existing models without affecting the models.
