Machine vision thread inspection solution

The visual inspection system for threaded workpieces uses the newly developed HS series industrial cameras and bi-telecentric lenses from our company. The bi-telecentric lenses have no parallax, large depth of field, and high precision, and have been used in high-precision measurement.

As can be seen from the figure above, the images taken with the dual telecentric lens optical path have high contrast, stable and clear transition bands, high resolution, and are conducive to edge extraction, laying a good foundation for our image processing.

The thread inspection system uses Visionvision's visionbank intelligent vision software, which is easy and fast to operate. The software has a built-in thread inspection tool. The parameters such as thread gap, thread width, angle, and length can be detected in one step, as shown in the figure below:
